6 days trip, 4 Full Days Sahara Desert Trek, starting driving from Marrakech crossing the high valleys and Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains to the most contrasting and magical landscapes, Kasbahs & oasis before reaching Draa valley on the feet of Jebel Saghro a volcanic massif surrounded with palm groves and fields of Hanna and watermelon then the sandy plateau of acacias, tamarisks and nomads villages & camps between Zagora & Ouelad Driss just before Mhamid the last village before the largest Sahara Desert.

6 Days trip 4 days Hiking Sahara Desert, takes place between the Jebel Bani and Oueled Driss via the Lhamada Draa valley & river. You will go for 4 days of camel trekking in a vast dune area punctuated with palm plantations Oasis. Your itinerary offers you the opportunity to meet nomads and their herds, a deep immersion in the Saharan desert which you feel all the emotion during your nights under the stars and the magic still has its effect when you reach the beautiful Draa Valley.

Day One Marrakech - Zagora - Beni Ali

Departure from Marrakech early morning via Tichka mountain pass at 2260m to the southern side of the High Atlas all through beautiful landscapes on the way to Ouarzazate, lunch, then reaching the Draa valley from Agdez old halt of caravans passing several ksars, kasbahs and fortified villages all along the raod up to gate of Sahara Desert Zagora, where nomads set off to Tomboucto on 52 days journey, then driving to the camels trek departure point in Beni Ali nomadic plateau , meet the camels team, overnight in camp. 7 hours drive.

Day Two Beni Ali – Imi Taqqat - Nesrat

Departure from Beni Ali after our first breakfast in nature. We will go down of the Draa valley, in the middle of a profusion of palm trees. On the right, the greenery of the oases and on the left arid plateaus. We will have lunch at Imi Taqqat, in the shade of the big tamarisks in Drâa valley lakes of salted water and at the foot of the volcano Jbel Beni Mountains. During this day we will meet many children and cross the river. We will walk for 5 hours. Overnight in tents

Day Three Nesrat - Ignaun - Bou Gaiware

Departure After breakfast. We will discover the charming Berber nomadic villages of Ignaoun and Moulay Ali Achrif. Lunch will be prepared by our cook in the middle of an oasis of palm trees. After an hour of walking, we arrive at the golden dunes of Bou Gaiware. We will walk for 5 hours this third day and spend the night in the tents, between dunes.


Day Four Bou Gaiware - St Saleh - Erg Tidri

We will follow the path of camels to cross the Draa river to reach Zaouiat Sidi Salah village Marabout. We will have lunch break after the village in the middle of the oasis, and will have the opportunity to get in touch with locals. Then crossing between dunes to our camp for the night at the foot of the great dune of Tidri. We will walk for 5 hours and spend the night under the tents.


Day Five Erg Tidri - Ergabi - Ouled Driss

We continue the descent along Draa river in the middle of sumptuous desert landscapes between dunes then plateau then dunes. Lunch planned near Ergabi village in a palms grove. In the afternoon, we will cross the river to Ergabi village, then between palm groves to reach Oulad Adriss big village. We will walk 5h30 and spend the night under our tent between palms or in a fixed camp with shower facilities.


Day six Ouled Driss - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Early breakfast on our last day of our trip and our trek in southern Morocco with the return to Marrakech via Zagora, Draa valley, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou and the high Atlas mountains. There is about 460 km. Some stops and breaks are planned on the way such as Ait Ben haddou Kasbah (visit), before arriving in Marrakech
