Explore Roses valley with its rose gardens, oleanders and almond trees in bloom, secret canyons, Kasbahs and Nomad tribes. You will be amazed by the diversity of the landscapes if you chose to hike in spring time. Roses valley is situated on the southeast slope of the High Atlas Mountains.Trekking Roses Valley & Sahara Desert itinerary will take you to enjoy hiking between gardens of roses and fruit trees, crossing Mgoun river and its spectacular gorges, Kasbahs and villages of Berber Nomads and discovering their old-times lifestyle. Then a trip to the Sahara desert of Merzouga by 4x4 via Dades and Todra gorges and the off road track of the Dakar rally before starting your camel trekking/riding to the highest dunes in Morocco. .

Day One Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Boutghrare

Departing from Marrakech early morning to cross the High Atlas through Tichka pass at 2260m with a lunch break on the way then passing Ouarzazate and Skoura before arriving to kalaat Mgouna and Boutghrar villages. Meeting with the trekking team in Boutghrar which will be the hiking departure point. You will visit this old village before setting off for a short walk outside the village to find the camp for the overnight.

Day Two Boutghrar - Ait Khlifa - Aguerzega

Boutghrar, Boutghrar gorges, villages Ait khlifa and Igherm, Aguerzega gorges with a lunch break, overnight camp in Aguerzega village.

Day Three Aguerzega - Almdon Plateau - Amsker Gorge

Aguerzega, Amdon forest, Almdon plateau with lunch at Nomads, Almdon village, night in a camp next to Amsker gorges.

 Dades Gorge

Day Four Amsker - Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Merzouga Desert

End of the trek in Amsker gorges. Continuing by 4x4 : through Dades/Todra gorges, lunch break, Erfoud, Merzouga. Starting the 2 hour camel trekking from Merzouga around 6pm to Waha Oasis and spending the night in the fixed camp where you will have the chance to observe the stars which feels like being in the universe thanks to the usually very clear sky and remote quietness of the Sahara desert.

Day Five Merzouga - Nkob - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate

Sunrise in the Sahara desert, trekking back on camels to Merzouga then travelling by 4x4 passing Erissani, Tazarine, Nkob with a lunch break, Agdez and arriving to Ouarzazate and spending the night in a guest house (DBB).

Day Six Ouarazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Telouet ( weather permitting ) - Marrakech.

Ouarzazate, Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou and Ounilla valley lunch in Telouet Kasbah before crossing Tichka pass at 2260m.
